Can I put different color frames on the walls?
I just bought 3 portraits that have gold frames. They are all on one side of the wall next to my curtains. The gold frames compliments the brown in my sofa and curtains. I wanted to put up pictures of my family on the other side of my wall in the same room, but the frames are black. Will this cause the colors of my decor to clash?
Mixing the frames would splash the colors about. One side could have a black between 2 golds and vise versa. The arrangement (pyramid, step, diamond, block) can also add to the focals of the room. Or swap frames (use mattes for correct sizing) can also be an option if you want to keep the colors seperate.
