Can you make paintings with anything besides acrylic or oil paints?
For my mother's 60th birthday, I'm planning on doing a painting on canvas. I'm wondering, though, if I could use anything else besides acrylic or oil paints, for the sake of being creative. I was thinking of using some kind of berries, or something that could be found rather than purchased, so it shows that more thought & effort went into the project. Does anyone know of anything besides the traditional mediums that will look nice on canvas, or something else besides canvas? I guess I just need some creative ideas for the materials I should use for a painting.
Thanks!
That is really cool of you. Yah berries, that is really cool or you can rub coffee grounds to give a rustic look or dip you brush into really strong coffee. And if you need more color you can have water colors to make sure it all blends toghter well. Because you dont want all theese beautiful colors and then a bright bold acrilic paint... unless you do. But good luck and im sure what ever you do your mom will love it!
